Vintage, 6 1/2" x 9"; photo by Roca, Madrid. In white lower right and stamp on verso. Antonio Moreno was a Spanish-born American actor and film director of the silent era. By 1915 he was a popular matinee idol often typecast as the "Latin Lover". As were other actors of the era with Latin roots, such as Ramon Navarro and Rudolph. By the early 1920s, Moreno joined Jesse Lasky's Famous Players and starred. Opposite Greta Garbo in The Temptress (1926) and Clara Bow in It (1927).
