Don Megowan (May 24, 1922 - June 26, 1981) was an American actor known for his roles in science fiction and Western films during the 1950s and 1960s. Standing at 6'7, his imposing presence made him a natural fit for commanding characters. Megowan's notable film roles include portraying the Gill-man on land in "The Creature Walks Among Us" (1956), the final installment of the Creature from the Black Lagoon trilogy.
