We strive to provide an accurate description of all items. Look at the large pictures provided. Also, please be aware that close up pictures might emphasize dust and minor imperfections that you won't see with the naked eye. Most of our items are from 30 to 50 years old and will have some degree of stress cracks, crazing, etc.
We do not highlight'typical wear' unless we feel it is out of the norm. Additionally, wires get brittle, rubber dry rots, strings get frail. Battery operated items stop working. We will always tell you the operability of items in our possession - but we cannot, in any way, offer any guarantees of their continued operability.
In order to give their aging model kit line a boost, the minds at Aurora decided to give a shot in the arm to sales by including'glow' pieces with their classic monster line. They tested the waters with their'Frightening Lightening line for a short time in 1969 (comprised of just the more'classic' universal monsters - the Creature was not one of them). They then moved to the smaller "solid" square box (guess making it easier for retailers and the public to easily distinguish the line as something'new') in the second half of 1969.
These were around for a few short years before moving to the last boxes of the series - the 1972'soft' square box. This is the second version of the glow creature (1972). Just be sure to tell us you're sending one and note that checks are held up to 10-15 days to clear. The pictures are comprehensive - if it's not in the picture, it's not included.
The items we sell are vintage collectables so expect natural aging/wear. However, we will consider a return if there was a significant oversight in listing. We've met many people through the years and many have become our dearest friends. Your business is important and valuable to us.
Please do not ask us to put down a false amount or classify as a gift. We look forward, to once again, servicing our international customers!
We finally relented when they pulled the plug on ALL our active listings (during this time, we couldn't add or edit listings but could let our normal store items "ride"). Enterprising souls can find us easily by internet searching'L & L Collectables, San Jose'.
