Original hardback in original dustwrapper. The dustwrapper is in nice condition with some wear and creasing to the extremities, small split to the bottom spine joint, some darkening to the rear cover (see pictures).

There is a small tear to the inside of the front flap (see pictures). The book itself is in nice bright condition having been protected by the dustwrapper with very slight fading to the top of the spine with titles remaining bright. The front free end paper is missing (see pictures). Vargo Statten was the one of the pseudonyms used by British science fiction writer John Russell Fearn (1908 -1980). He wrote for a number of American pulp magazines including Amazing Stories. The Creature from the Black Lagoon is a cult black and white film, which was originally filmed in 3D.
